Kalin Ivanov - Diffraction

Oggi vi parlo di quest'ultimo disco uscito appunto solo qualche giorno fa. Innanzitutto bisogna dire che le sei tracce dell'album sono state registrate tra il 2010 e il 2016, stiamo parlando quindi di un progetto che va avanti da svariati anni e che si è concluso solo nel 2018. 

Kalin ci offre con Difraction circa 30 minuti di un'ottima Ambient Music con forti richiami alla Chillout. Melodie timide e leggere si susseguono a sequenzer più imponenti, dando vita ad interessanti trame musicali ricche di ''colpi di scena'' inaspettati. La delicatezza con cui Kalin ci racconta la sua musica è unica e molto particolare, infatti nella sua alchimia tra una leggera Chillout mischiata ad un'Ambient Music classica a volte può capitare che i leggeri giri ritmici accompagnino le delicate melodie eseguite dai synt del compositore, mentre altre volte la batteria domina la scena lasciando un piccolo ma interessante spazio ai sequenzer che colorano l'ambiente magico creato da Kalin. 

Ho molto apprezzato i cambi scena che l'autore ci ha proposto, passiamo spesso da un ritmo più pacato ad un ritmo invece man mano più movimentato, cosi da rendere la traccia viva e pulsante. 

Personalmente ho trovato questo album molto interessante dal punto vista ritmico e spero di vedere al più presto altri lavori di Kalin Ivanov, intanto vi lascio il link per eseguire l'ascolto di Diffraction.

Diffraction is the latest album by Kalin Ivanov, a British musician active on the electronic music scene for some time, his projects date back to 2010, but he has only decided to publish some of his works right now. In June he released two singles: Distant Symmetry and Ethereal Transmission, and two albums: Parametres and Diffraction. Today I talk about this last album just released a few days ago. First of all we must say that the six tracks on the album were recorded between 2010 and 2016, so we are talking about a project that has been going on for several years and that ended only in 2018. Kalin with Difraction bring us about 30 minutes of a excellent Ambient Music with strong references to Chillout Music. Shy and light melodies follow one another with more imposing sequences, creating an interesting musical plots rich in unexpected "twists and turns". The delicacy with which Kalin tells us his music is unique and very particular, in fact sometimes in his alchemy between a light Chillout mixed with a classical Ambient Music it can happen that the light rhythmic path accompany the delicate melodies performed by the composer's synt, while at other times the battery dominates the scene, leaving a small but interesting space for the sequencers that color the magical environment created by Kalin. I very much appreciated the scene changes that the author has proposed to us, we often pass from a more peaceful rhythm to a more animated one, so it gives the track alive and pulsating. Personally I found this album very interesting from the rhythmic point of view and I hope to see other works of Kalin Ivanov as soon as possible. I give you the link to listen to Diffraction.
