Totemtag - Towards Proxima-B

Questa mattina vi presento Towards Proxima-B l'ultimo album di Totemtag, pseudonimo dell'astrofisico Dr. Massimo Teodorani.
Leggendo la sua biografia su Bandcamp e vedendo che le stelle e lo spazio sono il suo pane quotidiano non ho potuto fare a meno di ascoltare il suo ultimo progetto.
Ero molto curioso di ascoltare la relazione che intercorre tra musica e scienza.
I titoli delle sue tracce hanno fortissimi richiami alla materia in cui è specializzato, Warpdriving, Breathless Wingsuit Plunge into the Big Hole, Back to the Orbiter... Le armonie di Totemtag ci descrivono un viaggio nello spazio più profondo, il compositore ci accompagna dolcemente grazie ai suoi sequencer in un nuovo sistema a noi tanto sconosciuto. 
Ci fa esplorare la grande foresta Tanthalia (traccia numero 3) e l'immensa Crystal City (traccia numero 6), un viaggio meraviglioso che solo grazie alle sue note, alla sua ritmica, possiamo comprendere.
Per il racconto dei grandi e sconosciuti paesaggi il ritmo rallenta, lasciando spazio ai pad e alle dolci sequenze, man mano che ci avviciniamo nuovamente allo spazio profondo il tempo e la tensione aumentano. Siamo sempre sempre più vicini a questo enorme Big Hole (traccia numero 7) oggetto di grande mistero. Dove ci condurrà?

Consiglio vivamente l'ascolto a chi ama la Berlin School e chi, come me, è affascinato dall'enigmatico  spazio.

Today I present Towards Proxima-B the latest album by Totemtag, pseudonym of the astrophysicist Dr. Massimo Teodorani.
Reading his biography on Bandcamp I understood that the stars and space are his bread and butter, I couldn't help to listen his latest project.
I was very curious to hear the relationship between music and science.
The titles of his tracks have strong references to the subject in which he specializes, Warpdriving, Breathless Wingsuit Plunge into the Big Hole, Back to the Orbiter ... Totemtag's harmonies describe us a journey into deeper space, the composer gently accompanies us in a new system so unknown to us with his sequencers.
It makes us explore the great Tanthalia forest (track number 3) and the immense Crystal City (track number 6), a wonderful journey that we can understand only thanks to its notes and its rhythm.
For the story of the great and unknown landscapes the rhythm slows down, leaving space for the pads and the sweet sequences, as we get closer to the deep space time and tension increase. We are getting closer and closer to this huge Big Hole (track number 7) object of great mystery.
Where will it lead us?
